Simus - Cutvap Centro Servizi di Ateneo Tutela e Valorizzazione Antico Patrimonio scientifico Senese

The CUTVAP (Service Center of the University Enhancement and Protection ancient scientific heritage of Siena) was established to frame the academic skills in the protection of historic scientific instruments in a unit that go on the commitment of the University of Siena in the preservation of historic scientific university with particular regard to their collections. The Centre has organized a deposit of over five instruments (collections of anesthesia, ophthalmology, physiology, scientific glassware, surgical instruments, psychology ...). In addition to the exhibition, supported by cataloging, restoration, photographing the CUTVAP is deputy to the promotion of scientific research in the field of historical strumentaria. Since November 2007, the CUTVAP is part of the University Museum System Senese (SIMUS).
