Set up in the foyer of the Municipal Theatre, the Museum neatly describes the historical events of the building, built to a design by Lotario Tomba in the early nineteenth century on the site of two eighteenth-century theater, the Citadel, destroyed by fire in 1798, and the Saline demolished in the same years as dilapidated. The documentation on display includes poster of the play performed for the inauguration, which took place September 10, 1804 with Zamori, the "Hero of the Indies", serious drama by Giovanni Simone Mayr, a sketch of the "jailer" painted by D. Menozzi in 1826, the watercolor sketches of L. Braghini for "Hannibal in Bithynia", dated 1821 and some memorabilia of Giuseppe Verdi and Luigi Illica. On the top floor, traditionally reserved for set designers, a wide corridor was adjusted to the mid-70s in the exhibition space. Here are preserved photographs of artists and works of the century librettos outputs footage.
