Cavour Square is situated in an area once occupied by the partially Neronis Prata, which is named the entire district of Prati. In the central garden, built between 1895 and 1911 by Nicodemus Severi, it stands a monument dedicated to the statesman: a bronze statue on a base platform with granite and marble pedestal, surrounded by allegories of Italy and Rome, the Thought and Action. The work, created by Stefano Galletti, was begun in 1885 and completed in 1895. On the Square facing the Waldensian Evangelical Church and the Cinema-Theater Adriano, as well as the back side of the so-called "Palazzaccio", the Palace of Justice in Rome, an impressive work by the architect Guglielmo Calderini (1889 to 1910).
