On 5 July 1937, the Guardia di Finanza in Rome ushered in several rooms of the barracks "Piave", its own Historical Museum, in the likeness of other analogues of the Armed Forces, radunandovi the relics of its past to those of the Italo-Ethiopian war in 1935 -1936.
In 1960 the museum was moved to larger premises in the barracks then the seat of the body, enriched with the relics of the war from 1940 to 1943 and for the period 1943-1945 of the Resistance
