Museo del Corso (Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio)

Where VIA DEL CORSO, 320, Roma
Advocated by the Chairman of the Fondazione Roma, Professor Emmanuele F. M. Emanuele, the Museo Fondazione Roma, formerly Museo del Corso, was established in 1999.

To date the Museum has held over fourty exhibitions in partnership with the most prestigious international museums such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid, the Russian State Museum in St. Petersburg, the Kremlin State Museum in Moscow, the Louvre in Paris, the Palace Museum in Peking, the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin, the Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.

The museum is a concrete example of the Foundation’s indissoluble commitment to the Eternal City and is distinguished for its particular cultural offer which is characterised not only by the artistic value of the special exhibitions but also by the search for innovative solutions that aim to enable as many people as possible to approach art through courses which investigate culture, such as seminars, conferences, shows and events pertaining to specific themes.

Special attention is paid to the underprivileged. Consistent with the Foundation’s mission in the fields of Health, Art and Culture, Education, Scientific Research and Aid to the Underprivileged, amongst other specific initiatives, the Museo Fondazione Roma has arranged free guided tours for disabled people.

Since November 2010, the Museum has extended its schedule and is now able to organise simultaneous exhibitions thanks to the new display area which has been opened in Palazzo Sciarra - Via Minghetti 22 – in addition to the existing space in Palazzo Cipolla - Via del Corso 320.
