Vittorio Emanuele II Bridge connects Pasquale Paoli Square to the Vatican. Built by architect Ennio De Rossi in 1886, it was inaugurated only in 1911, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Unification of Italy. Connecting the center with the Borgo district, near the ancient Neroniano bridge. It spreads over three arches, for a length of 110 meters and is decorated at each end with high bases with winged victories and, at the central pillars, symbolic sculptures.
