The Diocesan Museum of Reggio Calabria is located on the ground floor of the late eighteenth century Archbishop's Palace, built on the ruins of an existing building, next to the Cathedral. The works, displayed in chronological order and within specific sections, are numerous: mostly in silver, many of which related to the shops from Messina and Naples, but also to local artists; it's enough to mention the famous radiused monstrance by Francesco Jerace, made in 1928 on the occasion of the Eucharistic Congress held in Reggio Calabria; belongs to the collection of a large group of different liturgical textiles manufacturing; a room with paintings, including the "Resurrection of Lazarus" attributed to Francesco De Mura (third decade of XVIII); eighteenth-century stone fragments from the altars of the ancient Cathedral of Maria Santissima Assunta, such as a pair of Angels 1728, regents Instruments of the Passion.
