MUSEO DIOCESANO DI ARTE SACRA
The particular nature of the Museum led to follow a dual legal system; for material (arranged chronologically) and destination, making room to the testimonies of sacramental practice and devotion. In the composition of paintings, sculpture, furniture and furnishings varied from the seventh century to the present, the result of artists of varying stature (sculptors as Alvise Casella, Giovanni Martini, Horace Marinali; painters as Amalteo Pomponio, Francesco Guardi, Nicola Grassi, Gianfrancesco Tolmezzo, Michelangelo Grigoletti and others) has tried to focus the certificates from the local area, using the neighboring geographic areas in order to fill any gaps of iconographic character. Result of ancient deposits, donations or custody in custody, the Museum offers its collections arranged in a clear and elegant exposition.
