Where Montemurlo (Prato)

Montemurlo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Prato in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Florence and about 8 kilometres (5 mi) northwest of Prato. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 18,097 and an area of 30.7 square kilometres (11.9 sq mi). Geography The municipality of Montemurlo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Albiano, Bagnolo, Fornacelle, and Oste. Montemurlo borders the following municipalities: Agliana, Cantagallo, Montale, Prato, Vaiano.
