Acquario e Civica Stazione Idrobiologica Milano
The Civic Aquarium of Milan was founded in 1906 for the International Exhibition. It's the third oldest aquarium in Europe, with headquarters in Sempione Park. The restoration works have allowed the right balance between the Liberty architecture of the historic building and the new technologies, providing visitors with a functional route, accessible to disabled people. The ground floor is intended for educational activities for schools, houses temporary exhibitions and an exhibition with some tanks. On the first floor there are the conference room and the specialist library, one of the most equipped in Europe on issues of aquatic environments.
