The Risorgimento Museum was founded in 1885. The present site is Moriggia Palace, designed in 1775 by Giuseppe Piermarini. The collection includes a rich repertoire of prints, paintings, sculptures, drawings, weapons and Italian memorabilia, from the first campaign of Napoleon Bonaparte (1796) to the annexation of Rome to the Kingdom of Italy (1870). The path follows a chronological and thematic order and is divided into fifteen rooms, plus the two designed for temporary exhibitions. Among the relics of particular importance: the mantle of the coronation of Napoleon in Italy; the banner of the Lombard Legion "Hunters on Horseback" and the first Tricolore. On the occasion of the re-equipping, it was also recovered the "Romantic Garden". The Museum offers educational events and exhibitions.
