Museo bagatti Valsecchi

Where Via Gesù, 5, Milano

The House-Museum was born from the collections of the brothers Fausto (Milan 1843-1914) and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi (Milan 1845-1934), who, in restoring the family Neorenaissance home, began a valuable collection of art objects of the '400 and the '500. In 1974, one of the heirs has established the Foundation "Bagatti Valsecchi", which gave the entire family heritage. The Lombardy Region acquired the building, preserving the original equipment on the first floor and, in 1994, founded the Museum. The collections are home to ancient tables of Giovanni Bellini, Bernardo Zenale and Giampietrino, plus art objects, wooden furniture and artifacts in glass and ceramics.
