The Church of Santa Maria della Valle, or "Badiazza", is located in the bed of the San Michele river. According to the historian Placido Samperi, the foundation is ancient, in accordance with the tradition that the monastery would have been honored at first by the nuns of Basilian Order, then Cistercian and then Benedictine. Gothic-Cistercian style are the lateral ogival portal, cruise lines and all French import items. Arabian dome, almost certainly made of pumice stone, collapsed between 1838 and 1840. The interior is articulated in three naves divided by pillars with stone capitals decorated with different plant design and different stylistic influences.
