It is believed that Cathedral dates back to Norman period, although the date of the church is uncertain, and the structure had several changes. The facade, pink stone tuff from Mendicino which is attached the bell tower, has a working portal which is accessed by a staircase. The interior has a single nave with side chapels, it houses a marble altar on which is a tabernacle in polychrome marble, dominated by an altarpiece depicting Madonna and Child with St. Nicholas and St. Catherine.
