Where PIAZZA SARZANO, 35R, Genova

The Civic Museum of St. Augustine is in the eponymous former Augustinian complex, dating to the second half of the thirteenth century. The Museum houses sculptures from the tenth to the eighteenth century, a section of ceramics, paintings on canvas and frescoes. The Museum offers a full path, based mainly on the Middle Ages, through the art of Genoa and Liguria. The knowledge of this art is the first aim of the Institute, along with the continual references to the knowledge of art and history of Genoa. The proposed activities - exhibitions, conferences, educational activities - tend precisely to these goals. Also, located in the central area of Sarzano, the Museum provides space to accommodate and stimulate activity in the neighborhood and the city center in general.
