Villa del Principe
Where
PIAZZA PRINCIPE, 4, Genova
Villa of the Principe is the largest and most sumptuous noble building of Genoa, the Palace of the only "Prince" that the city has ever had. It was built in 1521 when Andrea Doria, admiral and valiant man of arms, gave the green light to work on what would become the place of peace for the return of his many trips and the home chosen by his successors in the Doria Pamphili family. Today the Villa of the Principe is a monumental place full of hidden treasures as it can find along its rooms, admiring the frescoes and tapestries or walking through the fountains of his century garden. In addition to the historic home it can visit a temporary exhibition each year, from March to September.
