Autodromo di Pergusa
Automobile and motorcycle Circuit that surrounds the shores of Pergusa Lake. It was built in 1951 and after half a century, during which had ran champions like Michael Schumacher and there were disputed races of Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3000 and the test of Superbike World Championship, between 2004 and 2011, Circuit sport activity has been suspended due to refurbishment of the runway. The track was also venue for large concerts. The ring Circuit, to go clockwise, has a length of 4,950 meters and is immersed in Natural Reserve of Pergusa Lake, a crossroads traffic of migratory birds, including rare species. Around the Circuit overlooking the forest and the picnic area called Selva Pergusina, some resorts, hotels and Pergusa town fraction of Enna. Opened to competition in 2011, Autodromo has regained its traditional place in Italian motorsport calendar.
