Corso Bernardino Telesio

Where Corso Bernardino Telesio, Cosenza

Corso Bernardino Telesio is the main arterial road of the ancient city of Cosenza. In the sixteenth century it was known as "Street Market", for its commercial vocation: each of the squares and streets that overlook along the way, in fact, still has a name linked to the commercial and employment that took place there (Eggs Square, Street of the Goldsmiths, Merchants Square, Apothecaries Square, etc.). The current name celebrates the figure of the philosopher Bernardino Telesio (Cosenza 1509-1588), author of "De rerum natura juxta propria principia".
