The first stone was laid in 1823, at the same place where was a small church dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, which was destroyed by the earthquake of 1783. The project is the work by Fortunato Morani and sons. The interior has a Baroque nave with frescoes, stucco, angels and plaster statues. The tripartite facade is flanked by two bell tower with square domes hexagonal spire. On the front it was placed a cross, by the master of Serra San Bruno D. Greco, while the niche between the two towers houses a white marble statue of the Madonna and Child, by the sculptor Francesco Jerace. The portal is surmounted by a large window. Inside you can admire the decorations made by the Morani, Neoclassical stucco and frescoes on the ceiling by the master Colloca; four frescoes in the transept by Brunetto Aloi.
