Parco paleontologico di Cene

The Paleontological Park of Cene was born from a joint project, in 1992, of Seriana Valley Mountain Community and Science Museum of Bergamo to protect and enhance one of the most important paleontological sites in the world. The first fossil was discovered in this area in the following a landslide, in '65; they followed findings of fish, crustaceans, insects and reptiles that lived 220 million years ago. In '73 it was discovered the Eudimorphodon ranzii, the oldest known pterosaur. The Park includes a Visitors Center, with exhibition panels, educational and informative materials, books and games and a natural trail with descriptive panels of flora, fauna and local geology.

Only weekends from April to September, with free activities. During the week and during the winter, only on schools reservation.
