Pinacoteca Carlo Levi

The Carlo Levi Gallery is located at the seventeenth century Morteo Palace. Hosts a permanent exhibition of some works of the writer, who stayed in Alassio between 1929 and 1975. The Gallery exhibits twenty paintings loaned free from the Carlo Levi Foundation in Rome, including portraits and landscapes depicted in the months spent in the city, among which are the large canvases of carob and a Italo Calvino's portrait. In August 2004, Antonio Ricci has given the city part of the historical Carlo Levi's Archive, that after the restoration is available on request at the Public Library.
