It was founded in 1922. In 1964 was established Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences linked to Autonomous Province. Museum moved to Sardagna palace in 1982. It documents every aspect of nature in Trentino: 21 rooms are home to sections of Mineralogy and Petrology, Palaeontology, Zoology, Ornithology, Entomology, Botany, Herpetology and Ichthyology.
