Among the most picturesque villages of Val d'Orcia, it is home to Castle of Vignoni, twelfth century, which includes a Medieval tower and a Romanesque church. St. Quirico has a number of places of worship relevant from historical and artist point of view: famous Collegiate Church of Saints Quirico and Giulitta, Romanesque church of St. Biagio Vignoni and many chapels. The village has been set of movie "The most beautiful school in the world." St. Quirico d'Orcia is known for its cypress trees located on a hill overlooking a stretch of Via Cassia-Francigena. Cypress trees are the most important landscape symbol of Val d'Orcia and St. Quirico.
