Monticchiello is a fraction of Pienza, a typical Medieval village immersed in Sienese countryside of Val d'Orcia. To visit: Church of Saints Leonardo and Cristoforo, in Romanesque-Gothic style, the ancient castle of the village, Parish Church of Santa Maria dello Spino and Torre del Cassero, closed to the public, but still clearly visible. Monticchiello is known for its theater called "poor", in which all the inhabitants are authors/actors.
