Owned by the University of Palermo, contains collections dating mainly from the second half of the nineteenth century. The remarkable ichthyological collection, which consists of approximately 1.000 samples, mostly coming from the Sicilian waters, and more than 1.000 skeletal and anatomical parts. In ornithological collection there are numerous specimens of European, African and South-Central American fauna. To complete the exibition: mammals, marine invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians, and herpetological, malacologistic and entomological collections.
