Via Tommaso Natale, 91, Palermo
Villa Boscogrande is an eighteenth-century aristocratic villa located in Cardillo, suburb of Palermo. Is located in the so-called "Piana dei Colli", a large area in which the families of the aristocracy of Palermo erected in the eighteenth century, their holiday homes. Made towards the end of '700 by the Duke of Montalbo, it is an example of the transition from Baroque to Neoclassical style. In 1962-63 it was chosen as a set for the opening of "The gattopardo", Luchino Visconti's film based on the eponymous novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.
