Palazzo Trigona

Where Via Camillo Benso Cavour, 95, Noto (Siracusa)

It has a facade divided into two orders and three horizontal bodies with massive arched portal advanced and bordered by a double row of columns with Corinthian capitals and panels depicting floral motifs. It supports a powerful central balcony enclosed by a fine railing with at its center an eagle with outstretched wings, symbol of Trigona family and city of Noto. Inside, there are large rooms decorated with polychrome stucco and frescoes by Mazza depicting episodes from the Bible. They also kept many eighteenth and nineteenth century furniture and musical instruments, which include a valuable harp of '700. Part of the premises is now Conference Room (Gagliardi Room), while Guardian's Church became seat of ProNoto.
