Museo Statale
The State Museum of Mileto, inaugurated in 1997, was born as a tool for critical reading of the millennial history of the city, once the capital of the Norman Kingdom and the first Episcopal Latin in the South of italy. Housed in a nineteenth-century building, next to the Cathedral, the Museum exhibits a large collection of art of considerable importance, spanning a period between the late Imperial age and nineteenth centuries. The collection, ordered in several exhibition rooms on two floors, is divided into sections determined by the chronological sequence.
