Also known as "Pantano Grande" and "Pantano Piccolo", the two mirrors of water are among the most impressive and fascinating places of the northern coast of Messina, a city from which about 9 km. The name "Ganzirri" would come from arabic word gadir, which means "swampy, swampy"; Faro Lake, on the other hand, would have been fortified by Zanclei, ancient inhabitants of Messina, and equipped with a lighthouse.
