Palazzo Zanca (Municipio)

Original building was destroyed by an earthquake in 1908. Reconstruction work began in December 1914 under the direction by Antonio Zanca and ended in 1924. The building is in neo-Classical style. On the front you can see some sculptures related to the symbolism of the city and many tombstones that recall the most important historical events. In the face on Via St. Camillo there are two bas-reliefs depicting Dina and Clarenza, while on the other side, an entrance porch with Senatoria Fountain of 1619. The back side has a porch decorated with bas-reliefs made by local craftsmen. Inside you can see the remains of the ancient Greek city walls.
