Santuario di Santa Maria di Tindari
Sanctuary dedicated to SS. Madonna of Tindari is located on "Rocca", the rocky massif that gives its name to the densely inhabited center. In this place it was first a pigeon belonging to Cupane, transformed during the period of global conflicts in post-war. The place became sacred in the 50 on the occasion of Black Madonna pilgrimage in the municipalities of the diocese of Patti. The present condition is the result of a redesign occurred in 1986, with the placement of a high pedestal of a monumental fiberglass sculpture of Virgin Mary, work by sculptor Andrea Trisciuzzi. The interior, carved into the stone and decorated with stained glass is fascinating and charming, and is a true atoning journey.
