Bassano Romano
Characteristic Medieval village of Viterbo, in its historical center preserves several valuable churches and palaces: noteworthy, Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, Monastery and Church of San Vincenzo Martire and Palazzo Giustiniani-Odescalchi. Inside the village, which winds on tufaceous cliffs, there are many other buildings that have interesting architectures: you can see defensive towers, now transformed into houses; the bridge with Madonna and Child, painted on ceramics by the well-known master of majolica Bartolomeo Terchi; small and numerous kiosks containing sculptural portraits or paintings throughout the country. Nearby, we suggest an excursion in Regional Natural Park of Bracciano-Martignano.
