Parco Regionale del Mont Avic
Mont Avic is located in Valle d'Aosta, on the border between the towns of Champdepraz and Chambave, and gives its name to homonymous Regional Park. On the summit, in 1957, a young lady from Champdepraz was placed, a gift from Ivrea section of CAI. The first ascension was carried out in 1875 by Martino Baretti, G. Bovio and Ernesto Santelli. The normal route starts from Champdepraz Valley; the initial route follows the paths of Regional Park, but ends with a grade II mountaineering pass in the summit pyramid. Ascension is however of a hiking type. The Park has a Visitor Center.
