Museo del Carnevale della Coumba Freide
Located in a fortified house dating from the fifteenth century, classic example of late Gothic rural architecture, the Museum of the Carnival of Coumba offers a journey through one of the oldest carnivals in the Valle d'Aosta, a tradition of the common of Gran San Bernardo, comparing past and present. The realization of the Museum was made possible thanks to photographs taken from the exhibition "Quand l'ours if réveille ... Le Carnaval en Vallée d'Aoste de 1900 à 1970", owned by BREL, archive material from AVAS, the materials made under the "Carnaval Project" from the schools of the Grand Combin, in addition to material loaned or donated by private.
