Museo della città di Ancona

The Museum tells the story of Ancona through artefacts, models, paintings, prints, photographic reproductions and audiovisual documents. The exhibition reinterprets the past by offering the tools of understanding of the present city. A structure in continuous expansion that is also the gateway to the Urban Diffuse Museum, the starting point for several itineraries around a city that lives and changes over time. The exhibition has four sections: from its origins to 1000, from 1000 to 1532, from 1532 to the end of '600, from the French occupation the unification of Italy. It's located at the evocative ancient Hospital of St. Thomas of Canterbury and the former Fishpond.
