Where Corteno Golgi (Brescia)
Corteno Golgi (Còrten in Camunian dialect) is an Italian village and comune in the central Alps, in the province of Brescia, High Camonica Valley. There is a museum dedicated to Camillo Golgi who was born in Corteno in 1843. Golgi was the first Italian to be awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1906. In 1956 the name of the village was changed from just Córteno to Córteno Golgi in memory of the scientist. References External links Official website
