Rubano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Padua in the Italian region Veneto, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of Venice and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northwest of Padua. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 14,110 and an area of 14.6 square kilometres (5.6 sq mi).
The municipality of Rubano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sarmeola, Bosco, and Villaguattera.
Rubano borders the following municipalities: Mestrino, Padua, Saccolongo, Selvazzano Dentro, Villafranca Padovana.
