Museo Civico Francesco Jerace

The Museum, currently hosted by the Municipal Library, contains a collection of composite goods: tombstones, coats of arms and artifacts from churches, convents and civil buildings of the ancient Polistena, destroyed by the earthquake of February 5, 1783. Among the paintings and sculptures made by local artists, are reported eighteen works by polistenese sculptor Francesco Jerace. They also kept a herbarium, fossil and archaeological finds in the area, parchments ranging from 1430 to the end of the eighteenth century, photographic prints of the late nineteenth and tools with peasant or artisan.
