"Nave" di Cascella
Where
Lungomare Giacomo Matteotti, Pescara
It is the main monument of the city. Built in 1986 in travertine marble, the fountain was commissioned by the town council to the sculptor Pietro Cascella to embellish the promenade. The sculpture represents a rowing boat and suggests the vocation to fishing the city and the prisoners of Bourbon Bath, exploited as rowers on ships until 1859.
