Chiesa di Santo Stefano
St. Stephan's Church is located in the center of Porto Santo Stefano, in the Cro9ce neighborhood, and along with Casa Canonica is a block. The main facade consists of four large blocks of stone pilasters at the sides and a towering spire, which is inserted marble coat of arms of Bishop Paolo Galeazzi, as crowning. At the center is the large portal with a round arch. The second statement of the Church ends with three major cusps. Along the left side, in the context of the rectory, the bell tower is the result of the Baroque enlargement of the which holds within the four bells of the old church. The interior consists of a large nave covered by a barrel vault lowered. The side walls are punctuated by a series of blind arches supported by massive pillars of stone blocks, where they open the arched windows closed by stained-glass windows. They are depicted in two categories of saints: the Patrons of the Church groups and trades operating in Porto Santo Stefano, and the Saints linked to Tuscany and the Argentario. Besides the entrance, two extensions of the aisle in which are placed the three altars. In the last part, and in the large semicircular apse decorated with a mosaic, is the presbytery, the result of renovations in 2006.
