The museum was opened in April of 2006. It is still under construction. In June 2007 it opened the projection room of the museum-library. It includes room dedicated to Gino Bartali where they collected their trophies and memorabilia, the hall of cyclists with a list of all the riders, bikes of the room where they are exposed old bikes from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century.
