Villa Strozzi al Boschetto
The mid-sixteenth century, Giovan Battista di Lorenzo Strozzi wonted to extend the forest told Cafaggio bought a number of neighboring properties. In 800, the Prince Ferdinando Strozzi commissioned Giuseppe Poggi the restoration of the Villa and the redesign of the park. Date from this period the Avenue Carriage, rising from Via Soffiano and concludes with an elegant wrought iron gate placed between two columns, and the restructuring of the century park, with paths and architectural decorations. On the side of Via Pisana, it was built an imposing staircase in stone. Among the old park and the new one, he found an impressive limonaia, which now hosts summer artistic and musical events.
