Museo di Sculture in Pietra Lavica 'Valenziano Santangelo'

The museum was created by the sculptor Nino Valencian Santangelo since 1978 working as lava stone. On display are 306 sculptures that have to subject the myths of greek-Roman world, film, and literary characters of the Sicilian tradition; works are derived intuitively from lava blocks, with slight interventions. A number of other findings highlights the multifaceted character of the lava: volcanic bombs, ash, lava ropes, lava slabs, lapilli.
