Museo del Mare

It is a museum-historical-anthropological scientific collecting various artifacts of seafaring culture but is also a museum of the territory, which is closely tied to the village of Ognina where it is located. 

 

Very impressive collection of shells, starfish, sea urchins, fish, fossils and archaeological section where you can see six Roman amphorae, some of which are found in a shipwreck near the port of Ognina. 

The sea, symbolic and archetypal element, a meeting point of civilizations, which binds to and approaching cultures, customs, religions, and that has always been at the basis of human life, is present in every corner of the museum with its evocative power and magic. 

For this reason the museum lends itself easily to become a permanent laboratory culture of the historical and scientific marine environment and the ideal place, a magical and welcoming, where to bring out the emotions related to the suggestions mentioned by the sea.
