The Church and the adjoining convent were built in the second half of the eighteenth century by the architect Francesco Battaglia. The facade has two orders with columns in the Sicilian Baroque style, as well as the Convent, now combined as Prefecture, work by the architect Sebastiano Ittar of the nineteenth century. The interior in a Greek cross plant, has a high dome at the intersection of the arms. Inside you can admire some valuable works, including two altarpieces by the painter Marcello Leopardiun, a marble crucifix by Agostino Penna and an Annunciation by Guglielmo Borremans.
