Cappella Bonajuto

Archaeological site in Civita district for which was suggested a sacred function and the foundation in the Byzantine period (between the sixth and ninth century AC). It presents a Greek cross with a square plant, dome and three apses. The building, which is enriched by Medieval and fifteenth century elements, has survived the various earthquakes that hit the city. Bonajuto family took possession of the Chapel in the fifteenth century to build his residence.
