Tornareccio (Chieti)
Tornareccio is a comune and town in the Province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of Italy, particularly noted for its apiaries and archaeological significance. It is the site of phase III of the Sangro Valley Project. History The area around Tornareccio adjacent to Mount Pallano was inhabited since the Palaeolithic, around 20,000 years ago. The first written document which speaks of Tornareccio is dates to 829, when it came under the fiefdom of the Abbey of Farfa. References
