Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre (Sito UNESCO)
The Park includes, in addition to the territory of the three communes of Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso), a portion of Levanto and Spezia municipalities and consists of three territorial areas: the coastal one, real National Park, Marina and Marine Protected Area. Characteristic coastal stretch of Cinque Terre, with the mountains reaching to the sea creating a unique coastline, National Park is the only one in Italy aimed at protecting anthropic environment, which includes, among other things, safeguarding the drywall system that supports cultivated terraces. The villages on the sea and their terraces are immersed in a typically Mediterranean setting.
