Small village arranged like an amphitheater in the south-west of the island of Stromboli, offers a view of some islands of Aeolian Islands, Etna and Calabrian coast. The top of the village is called Timpone. Here is a Prehistoric settlement of Capo Graziano culture, dating back to XVII-XVI century BC. Among the major tourist activities include the contemplation of the volcanic activity of Stromboli from the vantage point of Cape Corvo (the climbs to the crater are banned from the slope of Ginostra, guided tours are possible by departing from Stromboli) especially impressive at night; the boat trips to reach other coastal harbors of the island or to better admire the activity of the volcano and fishing trips. For particular shape of the village and its narrow streets are no cars: for the transportation of things, are used only a few donkeys and have only recently made an appearance wheelbarrows motor.
