Island of Ponza constitutes the Municipality of Ponza together with Gavi and Zannone, and belongs to archipelago of Ponziane Islands, which also includes Palmarola, Ventotene and Santo Stefano. Almost completely hilly, the island reaches the maximum height of 280 m and has a very indented coastline, with several beaches and coves. Among the main attractors, Palazzo Tagliamonte, one of the oldest buildings in Ponza, built on commission by homonymous family in 1750; Chiaia di Luna beach, a very popular destination for visitors, protected from the winds by a high wall of white tuff and accessible only by sea or through a Roman tunnel; Beach of Frontone, easily reachable from the port thanks to the connection guaranteed by New Dock.
